***Steps for flashing a custom ROM*** 1) Take backup of contacts, calender & other apps - Ignore if you will do 3rd step 2) Copy custom ROM (Make sure that the ROM is developed for your phone model) to the SD card & boot into CWM recovery mode 3) Take backup of current ROM using CWM - Incase something goes wrong or you didn't liked the newly flashed ROM you can go back 4) From mounts & storage, format data & system. You can format cache too 5) From advanced , format dalvik-cache 6) Install zip from SD card & select the zip file 7) Reboot ATTENTION: 1st boot will take more time then usual NOTE: In this video, I have used a test custom ROM for showing you guys on how to flash a custom ROM. This ROM is based on the stock ROM with: * Pre rooted * Micromax Launcher replaced by Holo Launcher free * Other Micromax apps removed * Link2SD, Swapper2, DSPManager, Quickboot, Terminal etc installed as system apps * Facebook, Gmail, Youtube, Gtalk etc converted to user apps from system apps * Opera Mini, MXPlayer & few other new apps * Custom boot animation support - To change copy new animation to /data/local * Sense analog clock widget installed This test ROM was created by me just for the purpose of demo on how to flash a custom ROM.
